The Public Holiday Working classification can be used by Time Off Type Recurrence to determine whether the holiday is included in a time off period.

Annual leave spanning a non-working Public Holiday

Useful when an employee requests Annual Leave for a period that includes a non-working Public Holiday and the holiday should not consume a day of Annual Leave.

For example, an employee requests Annual Leave from 30 December to 3 January. If 1 January is configured as a Not-working Public Holiday, the leave applies to the other applicable days, while 1 January is excluded from the Annual Leave.
