• Subtypes – Standard Branch, Corporate Branch

Both remain Branch units in the organizational structure, while Subtypes distinguish branches serving different operational purposes.

Different Distribution Center Types

A logistics organization operates different types of distribution facilities that have the same position in its organizational structure.

Configuration:

• Organizational Unit Type – Distribution Center
• Subtypes – Regional Distribution Center, Cross-dock Center

Both facilities remain Distribution Centers in the hierarchy, while their Subtypes distinguish their different operational roles.

The Primary Activity field is used to assign the main Activity to an Organizational Unit Subtype, while Other Activities can be used to assign additional Activities.

Large-format Store
